Have fished here 3 times now, the first 2 on swift match lake to improve my feeder fishing skills. The staff were really helpful and helped me to perfect the technique allowing me to catch frequently. After 2 sessions on swift, Kingfisher has caught my eye in its picturesque landscape and the stunning carp I had seen being brought to the bank. A few days later I managed to get booked on for a 24h session where I caught stunning carp and even double up using the signature Kingfisher boilies available on site. Once again the staff were so kind and helped me to land the doubles up fish and even leant me a second landing net. There are lots of features to cast to, making for an enjoyable day fishing. The facilities were outstanding with incredibly clean showers and toilets which are cleaned daily. There is also a small and very reasonable tackle shop on site and a tv room with vending machines, a microwave and fridge and charging ports which is open 24/7. The food from the hungry mouse on site was lovely and cooked fresh for a hearty breakfast to start the morning right, including table service to your swim where the will take orders and deliver food, so there’s no need to leave the rods!
My overall experience was fantastic and would highly recommend that carp anglers far and near should spend a day or two on one of their 3 well stocked lakes. The site is also very child friendly (and incredibly safe, with the site locked up at night) which makes for a great family day out fishing and instils a sense of enjoyment for fishing in our future generation of fishermen and women! Mousehole Lakes is a site with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by both staff and fellow fishermen alike, with beautiful scenery, excellent amenities and plenty of PB breaking fish. At £30 for 3 rods (24h) I’ll definitely be back soon.
